Mixed in with the standard fare of shirts, books and other assorted "safe" goodies was "The Gift".
Fellow Hardballer and neighbor Mike (aka Ageless) had maneuvered around and got my name in the annual name draw. I could tell from the outset that there was something a little different about this gift as it had some heft to it. I could also discern that there were more than a couple of people awaiting my reaction when I opened it.
Inside I found my most cherished gift of the season! A trophy with the inscription:

That's a pretty sweet trophy, especially for Fantasy Baseball. Better than the trophies I get for softball. You deserve it, though, Randy. Well done.
ReplyDeleteNow, enough about LAST season. I'm more interested in this coming season.
2009 will start a new era for my team. We're coming clean. No longer will we be associated with the PEDs. No more Roid Raging or Perjured. I'm not sure what our theme or characteristic will be this year. I am sure, though, that it will lead to a Championship. No repeats this year.
