Zonk 5 to Plaz 4: This can't be described as the prettiest matchup, but it was the closest anyway. If it was a tie, it really would be like kissing your sister. Kind of blah! Where do I even start on this one? Ok, I usually don't start with saves ,but both teams had 4, which was decent. Zonk's days with Jenks are probably numbered. Ozzie Guillen has lost faith in the guy. Can Villanueva for the Brew Crew get it done? He did last week with 7 K's and a 0.00 ERA. Kevin Gregg is the real surprise to me. Must be that jump to the American League. Enjoy him while the good times last! Billy Butler has been a reason to smile for the Zonk team as well hitting .409 for the week and is a bright spot for those KC Royals. For Plaz, Tulo is starting to heat up and hitting with power. Look for this to continue. Nick Swisher has been on a roll and was a new pickup. Plaz needs him to continue the hot streak. Too many streaky players on this team. Some weeks will bash your brains in, and others (like this one) will completely stink up the joint. Plaz's team is too inconsistent right now to get on a hot winning streak, which he will need to climb back into the race. Pitching can be good and has some quality, but not much depth. I am not real nice with my comments here it seems, but speaking on facts really. Just hate to run into this team when it's hot though!
Hitters 8 to REDS 4: Much needed win by Tommy, who had a pretty decent week in most categories. For REDS, I all need to say is Miguel Cabrera. Wow, he looks like Albert Pujols in the American League. Too bad, he needs more pieces on offense to go with him. Great ERA at 1.80, but like Uticans had bad luck by only taking 2 points. Somehow, somewhere you at least have to steal 3 points. Tommy on the other hand had an excellent BB:K ratio at 13:48. Forgive me for questioning some strategy here, but why carry 3 Cubs pitchers for Tommy's team? Why carry both Tex and Howard? This team needs pitching in the worst way. Hmmmm? Need I say anymore here? Could really improve the club here to make a nice push in the standings if you ask me. For Rick, Derrick Lee is getting hot. Also Magglio Ordonez had a nice week. Hitting with M. Cabrera on your club will help his numbers! Now if Granderson gets it rolling, then this team can move up like Hitters. Pitching is a question mark though.
