With evidence of winter all around, the time has yet come to begin preparations for our annual trek to the field of dreams. With the few days remaining before our season begins a little reflection on last season is still in order.
First and foremost let's congratulate Baseman one last time on winning his 4th championship last season. Baseman, with the few days remaining before a new season officially begins I hope you are preparing yourself to relinquish that most coveted title.
The great poet and philosopher George Santayana once stated, "Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it". With that in mind I give you last years regular season final standings. Though some might find last years results completely forgettable, I suggest you look them over one last time as you prepare yourself for the season ahead.

Last season had its share of memorable moments. The long awaited match-up between Baseman and Stars in the championships, the ascension of the Uticans to the top echelon of managers, the monumental collapse of Hardballers in the 2nd half of the season and the last minute entry of Plaz into the championship playoff bracket to name just a few. I am sure each of you can recall situations good or bad from last year that will inspire or motivate you as we enter this, our 8th season of Hardball Heaven.
There is much to say about this league and the managers that it is composed of and hopefully over the next few weeks we can address many of those things. But for now, while winter is still upon us, let us reflect, plan and prepare for the season that is to be.
Season 8 is gonna be GREAT!!!
To heck with George Santayana. Why don't you all be like Barack Obama and repeat the past of Woodrow Wilson? Then I will feel very, very good about the upcoming season. If you don't know what I mean, then study your HISTORY!
